Desktop Technician – German C1/C2 – Offtringen, Switzerland

Role Description:

This is a full-time onsite contract role for a Band 2 Desktop Technician located in Offtringen, Switzerland.

The selected candidate will provide first and second-level desktop support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage Active Directory, and ensure smooth IT operations. The role involves break-fix support, printer troubleshooting, mobile device management (iOS & Android), and coordination with third-party vendors for AV-related issues.

The technician will also mentor Band 1 engineers and assist Band 3 engineers in resolving complex technical tickets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3 – 4 years of IT Desktop Support experience
• Strong knowledge of Windows 7–10 and Microsoft Office 365
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory & GPO
• Desktop/Laptop/Printer troubleshooting expertise
• Knowledge of Helpdesk/Ticketing systems
• Basic understanding of Networks, Servers, AV & Telecom
• CompTIA A+, MCP or similar certification preferred
• Fluent German (C1/C2 level mandatory)
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting & communication skills
• Ability to meet SLAs and work flexible hours when required
