Your new role
As a Data and Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex to complex analysis and reporting. It is guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies, and precedents to execute business intelligence functions within the branch.
It is a team membership position that may be required to perform work that involves team leadership responsibilities requiring the setting of priorities and allocating work to other team members.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide high level technical and analytical expertise to initiatives of the Data and Analytics Branch.
- Contribute to the design, build and implementation of reports, dashboards, analytic and data products that support business processes and deliver business insight.
- Working with stakeholders identify opportunities to leverage data and analytics to support consistent and efficient decision making.
- Influence business process and design to implement best practice information management and reporting principles.
- Articulate complex information into simple messages that can be consumed by key stakeholders with varied levels of data literacy.
- Contribute to best practice across the Data and Analytics Branch to ensure consistent analytics methodology and approach.
What you need to succeed
- Australian citizenship is mandatory to be eligible to secure a baseline clearance.
- Significant experience in data analysis
- Significant programming expertise (3+ years, SAS, SQL, R, Python)
- Proven ability to deliver under limited supervision
- Experience working in an industrialised EDW environment. - Within project management frameworks, the tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.
- Good interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to translate discussion into data flows - Operate as part of a team, work collaboratively, and achieve results - Perform under tight deadlines in a changing
- Environment.
- Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide and/or Sas Viya
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and Analytics studio
- Willingness to adapt to other analytics platforms and programming languages should the need arise
