Team Introduction

We are building the central and unified authorization service at ByteDance. The services we build include：

Authorization Product, which provides the customer-facing interface that's used by all ByteDance employees daily.

Authorization Backend, which provides the unified and central authorization capability at ByteDance.

We Have Four Major Initiatives In Our Team:

  • Build the most secure, reliable and scalable infra that enables high-quality service.
  • Enforce fine-grained access control to secure all ByteDance resources and assets.
  • Provide intuitive, efficient and transparent access experience to our users.
  • Govern permissions with automation and tools that enforce the least-privileged access control.

Responsibilities

  • Drive, design and implement the backend of authorization services
  • Design, develop, test and maintain quality code and documentation

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Final year or recent graduate with a background in Computer Science or other relevant majors.
  • Graduate with a background in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security or a related technical discipline.
  • Proficiency in using one or several mainstream programming languages including Golang, C++, Java and etc.
  • Familiar with one or several middlewares, caching, message queues, and storage solutions, including Kafka, MySQL, NoSQL, Redis and etc.
  • Good understanding of multi-tier application architecture and protocols, familiarity with product and software development lifecycle process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agile, quick self learner, highly self-motivated with a strong sense of product ownership and creative problem solver.
  • Passion for building large scale distributed system
  • Good collaborator and team player, comfortable working in a fast moving, culturally diverse and globally distributed team environment.
