Mid-Level Security Officer

An established organisation is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Security Officer to join its Finance & Compliance function. This role is ideal for an experienced security professional who is passionate about protecting systems, data, and organisational integrity within a structured and regulated environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding systems and infrastructure, monitoring security controls, responding to incidents, and supporting compliance initiatives across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage security systems, including surveillance and related technologies
• Respond promptly to security incidents, including unauthorised access and potential breaches
• Investigate, assess, and escalate identified risks where necessary
• Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, audits, and compliance activities
• Support the continuous improvement of security processes and controls
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to security policies and regulatory standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Information Security, or a related field
• 3–5 years’ experience in security management or a similar role
• Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are advantageous
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
• High level of integrity and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
