Data Privacy Senior Specialist (Emiratised Role)

  • Developing and updating data privacy policies and procedures in accordance with national standards (such as data protection in the UAE), international standards (such as GDPR) and ISO 27701, and ensuring their integration within general corporate policies.
  • Preparing and conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for new projects, procedures, and systems, by analyzing the nature of the data, identifying risks, and recommending preventive controls.
  • Monitoring data processing activities in all departments and ensuring that every processing operation is documented in the Activity Log (RoPA) and compliant with approved policies.
  • Analyze the privacy-related risks arising from the use of technologies or data sharing, develop risk assessment matrices, and propose appropriate remediation measures.
  • Reviewing contracts and agreements with suppliers or partners to verify that they contain mandatory privacy clauses and issuing technical and professional recommendations on compliance.
  • Implementing data breach incident response operations in coordination with technical and legal teams, assessing the level of risk, and proposing corrective actions and regulatory notifications when needed.
  • Preparing and reviewing internal audit programs for the data privacy program in the department, and meeting audit requirements.
  • Designing and implementing awareness and education programs for department employees on data protection and developing appropriate training materials for each job category.
  • Developing privacy-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and measuring departmental compliance with them, analyzing results and submitting recommendation reports to the department head.
  • Review and update the privacy incident management plan to ensure the department is ready to respond quickly to future incidents and define the roles and responsibilities of each party.
  • Preparing periodic analytical reports for the department head, which include compliance indicators, training activities, incident cases, and open risks.
  • Evaluate the efficiency of electronic privacy management systems (Privacy Tools) and suggest improvements to automated processes and smart reporting.
