Senior Dotnet Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior .NET Developer with deep expertise in migrating Crystal Reports to SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in C#, SQL Server, and modern .NET technologies, with a proven track record of successfully executing large-scale SSRS data and report migrations.

This role requires strong analytical skills, data validation expertise, and the ability to modernize legacy reporting systems into scalable, high-performance SSRS solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end migration of reports from Crystal Reports to SSRS
• Analyze existing Crystal Reports architecture, data sources, stored procedures, and business logic
• Redesign and optimize reports using SSRS best practices
• Perform SSRS data migration, including datasets, shared data sources, and report server configurations
• Rewrite and optimize queries, views, and stored procedures in SQL Server
• Develop and enhance applications using C# and modern .NET frameworks (.NET Core / .NET 6+)
• Ensure data accuracy and validation between legacy and migrated reports
• Improve performance and scalability of reporting solutions
• Deploy and manage reports on SSRS Report Server
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to validate reporting requirements
• Document migration strategy, architecture, and technical specifications
• Provide post-migration support and troubleshooting

Required Technical Skills

Reporting & Migration Expertise

• 7+ years of experience with .NET development
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with SSRS
• Strong experience migrating from Crystal Reports to SSRS

• Extensive experience in SSRS data migration and report validation

Development Skills

• Strong proficiency in C#
• Experience with modern .NET (.NET Core / .NET 6+)
• Experience building APIs and backend services
• Familiarity with MVC / Web API architectures

Database & SQL

• Advanced SQL Server knowledge
• Writing complex queries, joins, indexing strategies
• Stored procedures, functions, triggers
• Performance tuning and query optimization
• Data reconciliation & validation during migration

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience modernizing legacy enterprise reporting systems
• Knowledge of Power BI (nice to have)
• Experience with Azure SQL / Azure Reporting Services
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for SSRS deployments
• Experience working in Agile environments
