We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented data retention senior officer to manage and maintain our digital data retention strategy and framework. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and meticulous attention to detail to ensure we have a robust Enterprise Digital Data Management Lifecycle that complies with Legal and Regulatory obligations.

Your contribution to our success

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine the Firm's digital data retention strategy in compliance with industry standards, contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
  • Collect, assess and classify various data types, coordinate with the Legal Department to determine appropriate retention periods based on legal obligations and business needs.
  • Develop and maintain the official repository for all Retention Schedules and any supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with the business and IT to manage the destruction of data.
  • Provide consultation and education to Business teams and application owners in the development of their procedures required to meet the provisions of their Retention Schedules.

Your Skills

  • Experience & Education: 3-5 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Information Management or related field.
  • Data Management Expertise: Practical knowledge in data retention management, best practices, and technologies.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with data-related regulatory requirements, such as GDPR, and awareness of emerging trends and issues.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, accompanied by strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Organizational & Communication Skills: Excellent organizational, multitasking, communication skills, and a proactive mindset.
