UI/UX Designer

Requirements:

• UI/UX Design Expertise: Proven hands-on experience designing intuitive, accessible digital products for both web and mobile platforms.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Sketch, InVision, and Visio.
• Strong ability to deliver integration-ready UI components using HTML, CSS (SCSS), and JavaScript.
• Proven experience customising Moodle (HTML/CSS/JS) and JIRA (interfaces, workflows, dashboards).
• Research & Testing: Skilled in UX research, usability testing, and behavioural analysis to drive iterative improvements.
• Design Systems: Experience developing and maintaining style guides, design systems, and reusable component-based UI patterns.
• Collaboration: Excellent communication skills in English, with experience working in multidisciplinary Agile teams.
• Security Clearance: Valid national security clearance is mandatory for the full duration of the contract.
• Languages: English (fluent).

Job Description:

• Ensure a user-centred, modern UI/UX design , including Moodle, TMS, and JIRA.
• Create wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes to visualize and test user journeys.
• Produce and deliver integration-ready UI components (HTML/CSS/JS) suitable for direct implementation into ALE systems.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and address responsiveness or accessibility issues.
• Develop and maintain the Academy’s design system and style guides to ensure visual consistency across all platforms.
• Create original graphic assets, including icons and visual elements, to enhance the overall user experience.
• Work within 1-week Agile sprints, delivering research reports, prototypes, and style guides for prioritised systems.
