Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer with 5+ years of experience in web application testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading testing activities, ensuring high-quality deliverables, improving QA processes, and supporting automation initiatives. This role requires strong analytical skills, leadership capability, and a proactive approach to quality assurance in a fast-paced development environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documents.
• Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test strategies.
• Lead functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing cycles.
• Perform cross-browser, cross-platform, and responsive testing for web applications.
• Conduct API testing and database validation.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using bug tracking tools.
• Coordinate closely with developers, UI/UX designers, and project managers to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis of defects and recommend preventive measures.
• Mentor junior QA team members and review their test artifacts.
• Contribute to automation framework development and test automation execution.
• Prepare test summary reports and provide quality metrics to management.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and continuous process improvement.

Technical Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software/web application testing.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle.
• Extensive experience in manual and automated testing.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar).
• Experience in API testing (Postman, Swagger, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL for database validation.
• Experience with bug tracking and project management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools is an added advantage.
