About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Staff iOS Engineer to join our dynamic team at Capital One Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development, design, and delivery of our mobile applications, specifically focusing on iOS platforms. You will inspire, manage, and collaborate with a team of talented software engineers to create innovative products that enhance our customers' financial lives. Your hands-on development expertise will be instrumental in driving the technical vision and ensuring the successful implementation of key features.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for mobile technology, a deep understanding of iOS development, and experience working within agile environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and architects, to deliver scalable, reliable, and user-friendly mobile solutions. Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in any field and have extensive experience in iOS application development. A minimum of six years of hands-on experience with native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI is required. Additionally, you should have a strong background in application design, technical architecture, and full-cycle development. Leadership skills are essential, including experience mentoring junior and intermediate developers and guiding technical and business stakeholders. A demonstrated ability to work effectively within agile teams and deliver high-quality solutions is also necessary.

Responsibilities
- Own and lead the delivery of major components and platform needs in collaboration with senior engineers and architects to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Participate actively throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle, from planning and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Enhance software engineering practices by working within agile teams to design, develop, test, and support technical solutions across a full stack of development tools and technologies.
- Provide expertise on how emerging technologies influence the domain, ensuring the team stays at the forefront of innovation.
- Mentor junior, intermediate, and senior mobile developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Collaborate with product teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions that meet business objectives.
- Ensure the quality, performance, and security of mobile applications through rigorous testing and code reviews.
