What You’ll Do?

At Wave, you will work on demanding projects in the Uusimaa region that require a deep understanding of how software controls complex machinery and handles high-frequency data streams with uncompromising real-time precision.

Depending on the project and your professional interests, your focus will vary. Your role may include areas such as:

• Technical Advisory & Design: You won't just be executing tasks. You will work closely with the client’s tech and business teams, helping them navigate the complex landscape of C++ and picking the right technologies and architectures suitable for their specific needs.
• Embedded Systems & Functional Safety: Developing robust software for complex hardware environments. You could be working across the stack from Bare Metal and RTOS to Embedded Linux and Hypervisors. You could work on anything from multi-core architectures, safety-critical frameworks to low-level system abstractions (HAL/Middleware) where deterministic behavior is paramount.
• Computational Engineering: Building advanced calculation engines and high-performance algorithms. You’ll translate complex mathematical models and real-world constraints into efficient C++ code, focusing on low-level optimization, execution speed, and data integrity.

What We Expect From You?

• Solid C++ expertise: You have professional experience in C++ development. You are proficient with modern standards and have a deep understanding of the language's core principles.
• Systems & architecture: Experience with platform software or device-near programming is a major advantage. We also highly value a strong background in C.
• Engineering mindset: You understand the challenges of software-hardware integration and are well-versed in modern development tools and agile methodologies.
• Professional proficiency in English is required and fluent Finnish is considered a significant advantage.
