We’re looking for a curious Data Engineering Intern to join our Helsinki-based team. In this role, you’ll join our Data Engineering craft to help us bridge the gap between software engineering and the fast-moving world of mobile gaming data. You’ll work closely with an experienced and a supportive team of experts to maintain the pipelines and services that power our games.
Whether it's supporting AI initiatives or helping us refine our player experience through data, you'll play a part in how millions of people interact with our games.
This is a paid 6-month internship, with a preferred start in April 2026. Please note that relocation or visa support is not provided for internship roles. We follow a hybrid work model, so you’ll spend about 2 days a week collaborating with the team at our Espoo office.

You will have impact and fun at work by:
- Building high-volume pipelines that handle both batch and real-time dataMaintaining our modern data stack, including our data lake and warehousing platforms, to ensure our analytics tools are top-notch
- Tackling operational tasks like data backfills, ensuring our data quality monitoring is always on point
- Collaborating across teams on development projects that directly support decision-making and enhance the player experience
- Exploring the future of AI by assisting with foundational data work for context management and AI agents
- Sharing your progress and ideas actively with the team, helping us maintain a short feedback cycle and a culture of continuous learning.
- You’re currently pursuing a BSc or MSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
- You have hands-on experience with Python and feel comfortable using it to solve technical problems
- You’re enthusiastic about using AI tools (like Claude Code) to boost your productivity
- You understand the basics of data wrangling with SQL and are eager to apply it to complex, global-scale data volumes
- You enjoy working together with others, sharing your work openly, and seeking advice
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Familiarity with Python data processing libraries and ETL tools like PySpark
- Experience writing analytical SQL queries to find insights in large datasets
- Exposure to cloud providers (like AWS) and data technologies (for example Athena, Glue, EMR, orchestration tools).
