JOB TITLE: FP&A Data Analyst

DEPARTMENT: EU Finance Organisation

LOCATION: Ireland or Leeds, UK.

Role Overview - What’s ‘In-store’?

The FP&A Data Analyst is a critical contributor to the European FP&A function, responsible for delivering high-quality data analysis, reporting, and insight to support financial planning, performance management, and commercial decision making.

This role is highly data and process driven, with a strong emphasis on automation, data integrity, and modern reporting to strengthen forecasting, improve data governance, and enhance the analytical capability of the finance organisation.

• Measurable improvements in reporting efficiency, data governance, and process standardisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Forecasting

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning cycles
• Prepare, validate, and analyse large data sets to support modelling and scenario planning
• Deliver variance analysis, trend insights, and performance commentary
• Consolidate multi-country inputs into a clear financial view

Reporting & Data Visualisation

• Develop, automate, and maintain dashboards and reports using advanced Power BI
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial and operational data.
• Modernize legacy reporting by implementing scalable, insight driven visualisation tools.
• Partner with cross functional teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into effective BI solutions.

Data Management & Process Improvement

• Strengthen data governance, documentation and standardisation across FP&A processes
• Identify opportunities to streamline data flows and automate manual reporting tasks.
• Integrate and analyse Salesforce data to enhance commercial and financial insights.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecasting accuracy and reporting efficiency.

Business Partnering & Insight Generation

• Deliver analytical support to senior stakeholders.
• Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that support strategic and operational decisions.
• Build strong relationships within Finance and Operations teams to ensure alignment on KPIs and data definitions.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5+ years in FP&A, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or similar analytical finance roles
• Experience in multinational or matrix environments is preferred
• Proven ability to automate reporting, improve processes and data quality.
• Experience working with Salesforce data is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

• Advanced Power BI capability (data modelling, DAX, dashboards, automation)
• Strong Excel skills (Power Query, Power Pivot, advanced modelling)
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday)
• Strong understanding of financial statements, KPIs, and FP&A processes

Leadership & Behavioural Competencies

• Effective communicator able to simplify complex data for nontechnical audiences.
• Structured, analytical, and detail-oriented mindset

Education & Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or related field
• Professional certifications (ACCA, CIMA, CFA) or BI/data certifications are advantageous
