Staff Software Engineer (Go) at BairesDev

We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer who has moved beyond writing great Go code and now shapes how distributed systems are built around them. You understand cloud-native architecture at a deep level, you’ve delivered platforms where performance and reliability aren’t optional, and you know how to get teams aligned on the technical decisions that matter. You’ll be taking on a senior IC role on a platform that powers AI and machine learning for some of the world’s largest enterprises — setting direction, solving hard problems, and raising the bar for the engineers around you.

What You’ll Do:

- Lead the design and development of critical backend components in Go within a Kubernetes-native environment.

- Define architectural standards and set technical direction for distributed platform systems.

- Drive engineering best practices across teams, from coding standards to deployment and observability.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and deliver high-impact technical initiatives.

- Mentor engineers across teams, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing.

- Contribute to LLM/RAG platform features and ensure their reliable operation in production.

What We Are Looking For:

- 7+ years of experience in IT roles.

- 5+ years of experience with Go or Rust as a primary programming language, with strong Go expertise.

- Proven experience designing and delivering Kubernetes-native architectures in production.

- Deep knowledge of distributed systems design and delivery at scale.

- Hands-on experience with LLM or RAG systems in production environments.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence technical direction across multiple teams.

- Advanced proficiency in English.
