We Are Looking

As a Senior Back-End Engineer at Fleming, you will be a technical pillar within our cross-functional team of experts.

We value shipping over ceremony. At Fleming, we keep the overhead low—no heavy methodologies or endless meetings. We rely on a quick daily stand-up to sync and then give you the autonomy to do what you do best: build great software. While you’ll spend significant time engineering high-performance, test-backed systems, your influence will extend far beyond the code. As a senior member of a scaling startup, you will be a key voice in architectural decisions and technical strategy without the red tape.

Get Ready To

• Architect & Scale: Lead the design and deployment of highly scalable back-end systems and complex APIs using PHP and Laravel.
• Operate with Autonomy: Work in a lean environment where we prioritize results and rapid iteration over complex management frameworks.
• Drive Technical Vision: Take full ownership of new features, from initial conceptualization to final architectural implementation.
• Champion Engineering Standards: Set the bar for clean, maintainable, and rigorously tested code across the entire team.
• Cultivate Talent: Mentor junior and mid-level developers through high-level code reviews and knowledge sharing.

We Expect You To

• Bring 5+ years of professional experience (with at least 3+ years focused on PHP and Laravel/Symfony).
• Demonstrate deep proficiency in optimizing relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Be an advocate for automated testing strategies (unit, integration, and E2E).
• Have a mastery of OOP fundamentals, SOLID principles, and advanced design patterns.
• Possess the communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies.
• Be fluent in both English and Lithuanian.

Salary

Gross salary range is 5000 – 7000 EUR/month.

*Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
