PRODUCT OWNER – ONBOARDING



What will you be doing?



Product Ownership of Customer Onboarding


Take full ownership of Finora Bank’s end-to-end customer onboarding journey across digital and traditional channels.

You will design, optimize, and continuously improve onboarding flows for different customer segments (SME, private clients, farmers), ensuring seamless customer experience while meeting strict regulatory standards.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Designing and optimizing onboarding journeys across all products
  • Ensuring smooth integration with Core Banking Systems (CBS)
  • Aligning onboarding processes with AML, KYC, and compliance requirements
  • Implementing identity verification and digital onboarding solutions
  • Continuously improving conversion, speed, and customer satisfaction



Technical & System Integration Leadership


Act as the bridge between business, compliance, and IT.


  • Define and prioritize product backlog for onboarding initiatives
  • Prepare detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Make informed decisions on API architecture and system integrations
  • Lead integrations with Core Banking Systems (Probanx or similar)
  • Coordinate integration with external registries (corporate, agricultural, etc.)
  • Collaborate with vendors such as identity verification providers (Ondato, iDenfy, or similar)
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new releases



AML & Regulatory Compliance Integration


Ensure onboarding is secure, compliant, and scalable.


  • Implement AML risk scoring methodologies and risk-based approaches
  • Embed KYC/KYB documentation standards into onboarding flows
  • Ensure compliance with PSD2, GDPR, and local banking regulations
  • Work closely with Compliance and Risk teams to maintain regulatory alignment


Banking Product Alignment


Align onboarding processes with product-specific requirements:


  • Bank account opening
  • Business loans
  • Leasing
  • SEPA payments

Ensure each product launch is operationally and technically ready from onboarding perspective.


Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration


You will work closely with:

  • IT and development teams
  • Compliance and Risk departments
  • Business units
  • External vendors and service providers
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements — and technical constraints into business decisions.



What will help you succeed?



Experience & Background


  • 2+ years of experience as Product Owner or Product Manager in banking or fintech
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end onboarding processes
  • Hands-on experience with Core Banking Systems (Probanx or similar)
  • Experience integrating APIs and working with technical teams
  • Experience implementing AML/KYC processes
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments


Technical & Professional Skills


  • Strong requirements writing and documentation skills
  • Ability to prepare technical tasks and vendor specifications
  • Experience creating user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Strong prioritization and roadmap management capability
  • Analytical mindset and data-driven decision making
