Senior Project Manager

What would be your mission?

  • To be responsible and fully accountable for identifying and managing the resources to successfully carry out large, complex projects including individual systems development projects
  • Responsible and accountable for the delivery of agreed project outputs to the agreed time, constant quality parameters within the agreed scope
  • Manage and coordinate the activity of specialists, technicians and analysts to ensure that tasks are performed that result in the project deliverable
  • Ensure the project and associated business case are scoped, initiated and approved according to required procedures
  • Ensure the project is planned in a manner that delivers to the required cost and quality and within the agreed scope, including appropriate milestone definition, work breakdown structure, dependencies, and assumptions
  • Ensure the project is resourced appropriately
  • Ensure the project work is executed and implemented according to the plan or any agreed changes to the plan and according to agreed project management standards
  • Ensure that requirements, plans, risks, issues, actions, costs, schedules, benefits, and other related project artefacts are documented, tracked and followed-up on
  • Ensure that the project work is compliant with documented standards, templates, and frameworks, and captured in agreed toolsets
  • Ensure project stakeholder awareness, engagement, and communication
  • Manage and lead project team members
  • Ensure the project closes according to required procedures

What would be your tasks?

As Project Manager, you will be expected to deliver complex multi-locations projects with high quality standards, and you will be responsible to:

  • Ensure successful implementation of client’s projects within project scope, budget and timeline
  • Analyze and manage project risks and issues in accordance to client’s Executive Management risk appetite
  • Monitor and report the project progress to Executive Management and other portfolio governing body
  • Take full ownership of projects financials, reconcile, analyze gaps and explain discrepancies
  • Lead groups of business and IT stakeholders to agree on functional and or technical solutions to unblock complex situations
  • Chair project governing bodies and any project related forum
  • Manage and support business transitions (technical and planning) and ensure proper governance and controls are in place

What kind of profile are we looking for?

  • University degree or equivalent in a computer-based discipline
  • Project management certification, PMI, Prince 2, AgilePM or equivalent
  • 5 - 7 years of experience of proven track record in a similar role
  • 6+ years of experience in managing complex medium sized to large projects
  • Demonstrable experience in leading projects to successful conclusions
  • Experience in a management role with P&L accountability
  • Experience in developing and tracking financial business cases
  • Relevant experience working in the capital markets industry
  • Proven ability to effectively assess and mitigate project risks and dependencies
  • Experienced in effectively communicating with and positively influencing project stakeholders and team members
  • Experience within financial services, knowledge of the investment funds industry would be considered as a plus
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Autonomous and good relationship with customers
  • Excellent written and spoken English ; French / German or/and any other languages will be an asset
