The Java developer is a project member of the innovation and research team implementing and extending complex system functionality to serve our obligation in several innovation programs together with partners. You will be part of the Software & IVVQ department in the Engineering Organisation. Medior/Senior Java Developer (Innovation programs)

About your job

The initial timeframe is 4 months expected from March till June, extension in future to be determined later.

In this function, you design, implement, integrate, test and deliver functionality. As a Medior/ Senior Java Developer, you will design, develop, and implement innovative software solutions using Java v17 for robust communication platforms deployed in military tracked vehicles. You’ll be collaborating closely with domain experts to deliver a solution that push technological boundaries.

Why you'd be a good match

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Solid experience with Java (version 17).

• Proven background in developing complex, high-reliability systems.

• Familiarity with communication protocols, embedded systems, or vehicle systems is a plus.

• Experience with Agile development and version control tools (Git, Maven/Nexus).

• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a team-player attitude.

• Fluency in Dutch and English (spoken and written).

• Eligibility to obtain relevant security clearance (AIVD-B)
