Full-Stack Developer (Backend-Focused)

We are hiring on behalf of a leading financial institution in Portugal for a Full-Stack Developer with a strong backend focus to join a high-performing IT squad delivering modern, scalable solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge systems within a cloud-native, microservices-driven environment.

🚀 Your Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Design scalable solutions using AWS and microservices architecture
• Contribute to frontend development (React.js or Angular) when required
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, delivering in sprints
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners and cross-functional teams
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Ensure security best practices around APIs and data privacy

🧠 What We’re Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java development
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot and modern Java versions
• Solid experience with AWS and microservices architecture
• Strong understanding of design patterns and clean architecture principles
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Gitflow, IaC, and deployment strategies
• Strong understanding of API security and data privacy best practices
• English level B2+
• Availability to work onsite 2 days per week in Lisbon or Oporto

Nice to Have:

• Experience with React.js or Angular
• Knowledge of Node.js
• Experience with PostgreSQL
