Job Description – Technical Business Analyst (Payments)

Location: Remote (100% teletrabajo) with 1 monthly visit to Madrid office

Start date: ASAP

Contract type: Permanent or Contractor

Languages: Spanish (fluent), English (nice to have)

About the Role


At Coforge, we are looking for a Technical Business Analyst to support several squads (3–4 teams) within the Payments domain.

This role acts as a bridge between Product, Technical Leads, and Development teams, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations, well‑defined requirements, and efficient coordination across teams.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, understands technical concepts in payment platforms and integrations, and is comfortable managing team workload, priorities, and coordination topics (including vacations and dependencies).


Key Responsibilities

1. Team & Operational Coordination

  • Manage day‑to‑day interaction with 3–4 payment teams.
  • Coordinate team workload, priorities, and daily activities.
  • Oversee vacation planning, ensuring each tech stack always has at least one active resource.
  • Support team leads in resource planning and internal coordination.
  • Ensure initiatives are tracked, updated, and progressing according to plan.

2. Requirements Analysis & Delivery Support

  • Work closely with Tech Leads and POs to analyze, clarify, and refine requirements before development.
  • Translate business needs into clear, structured requirements for the engineering teams.
  • Review functional documentation and ensure it is correctly interpreted.
  • Manage and communicate team dependencies with other internal squads.

3. Payments Domain Expertise

  • Analyze integrations with third‑party payment providers.
  • Understand and document processes related to:
  • Payment methods
  • Credit card transactions
  • PCI considerations
  • Payment flows end‑to‑end
  • Provide support to troubleshoot issues related to payment configurations.

4. Technical Analysis

  • Use Dynatrace for monitoring, log consultation, incident analysis, and performance insights.
  • (Dashboard creation not required but appreciated.)
  • Perform SQL queries (Oracle + Developer) to analyze payment configuration tables.

5. Cross‑Team Engagement & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate with related teams to resolve dependencies and support shared tasks.
  • Act as a liaison between Product Owners, Tech Leads, Development teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment on priorities and delivery timelines.


Required Skills & Experience

Must‑Have

  • Experience as a Business Analyst, Technical BA, or Product Owner in a technical environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development concepts, APIs, and integrations.
  • Experience coordinating small teams or acting as a point of contact for technical squads.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical and functional documentation.
  • Analytical mindset with hands-on experience using:
  • Dynatrace (queries, logs, incident analysis)
  • SQL (Oracle)
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple simultaneous initiatives.
  • Experience in Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban).


Nice-to-Have

  • Previous experience in Payments, FinTech, gateways, PSPs, or PCI-related environments.
  • Knowledge of credit card processing flows.
  • English (intermediate).
