Data Modeler with Databricks

We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Modeler with Databricks to join our team.

This position is open at any of our locations in Romania, including the option to work remotely within the country.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transform business and functional requirements into clear, scalable, and efficient data models.
• Define technical specifications and data transformation logic to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through rigorous analysis and validation.
• Apply best practices, standards, and methodologies for data analysis and modeling.
• Utilize SQL to query, manipulate, and summarize data, providing assurance of data reliability and consistency.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, and Data Engineers to deliver incremental value in each sprint.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with multiple stakeholders, facilitating communication and ensuring shared understanding across teams.

Requirements:

• Experience designing enterprise data models, specializing in medallion architecture on Azure Databricks for commercial data lake solutions.
• Dimensional Data modeling in medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) architecture, logical/physical model design, Azure Databricks, data mapping, metadata management, data lineage, business rule translation, documentation, cross-team collaboration.

Experience:

• Designed logical and physical data models for medallion layers on Azure Databricks.

• Mapped business requirements to data structures supporting ingestion, transformation, and analytics.

• Defined and maintained metadata, lineage, and data dictionaries for quality and governance.

• Validated models with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and scalability.

• Collaborated with architects, engineers, and analysts for seamless data delivery
