The ZeniTH Program
In an ever-changing world, Thales is evolving to deliver the best products to our customers. Under the sponsorship of the Thales NL Chief Operations Officer, a large business transformation program is being executed. This program implements a new landscape of processes, applications, data, and Business Intelligence for our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Enterprise Resource Management (ERP). This is required to adapt to our fast-growing defense market.
For this business transformation program, we are in the need of a Project Management Officer (PM Officer).
We are looking for a PM Officer to serve as the "eyes and ears" of the Program Manager and ensure this transformation is executed with precision. The PM Officer will contribute to a team with business experts and professionals from our business improvement and Information Systems and Technology department.
About Your Future Job
The primary role of the PM Officer is to establish and maintain operational management standards, processes, and best practices, ensuring that the transformation program is executed efficiently. You will report directly to the Program Manager and while also be working with other key project team members or stakeholders at Thales NL and the Thales Global organization.
In essence, you function as the ‘eyes and ears’ of the Program Manager. You are responsible for creating and maintaining structure and order in the program. Content is key. You are expected to learn and understand the underlying topics to participate actively in discussions.
Your main tasks include:
- Set-up of and work according to Program plan.
- Prepare team for the next milestones and steps to be taken.
- Determines what needs to be communicated to whom, when and how.
- Prepare communication and coordinate aligning with the relevant (international) stakeholders.
- Organize and participate in meetings, workshops, and events, including taking minutes and communicating results.
- Develop and improve working- and document standards, including the upkeep of the program archive.
- Other contributions that match your capabilities and ambition.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering & Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in program/project management, specifically within large-scale business transformations (PLM/ERP experience is highly valued) and/or in consultancy.
- Extremely structured and proactive. You anticipate "last-minute" rushes before they happen.
- Quickly builds sufficient knowledge of the program so she/he is the go-to person for all sorts of questions that do not reach the Program Manager.
- Can quickly understand in depth topics during discussions and participate actively in most of the discussions.
- An enthusiastic ambassador for the program who can navigate complex discussions and build strong professional networks.
- Consistent, enthusiastic, a real organizer and eager to develop yourself.
- Can give solicited and unsolicited advice.
- Main location will be Hengelo, and supporting our location in Huizen/Amsterdam
