Back End Developer (AWS Serverless)

We’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for a Dublin-based client modernising their customer call centre platform.

They’re moving from legacy Lex-based infrastructure to a more advanced conversational AI system powered by AWS Bedrock. This is a backend, cloud-native role focused on serverless architecture and event-driven systems.

€300 - 320 per day

Initial 6-month contract

What you’ll be working on

• Building backend services using AWS Lambda
• Integrating AWS Bedrock and Lex for conversational AI
• Designing infrastructure using CDK and CloudFormation
• Working with API Gateway and Kafka (serverless/event-driven)
• Implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Contributing to backend architecture and technical decisions

This is a backend engineering role centred on AWS, serverless architecture and production-grade conversational systems.

It’ll suit someone comfortable designing and owning cloud-native services, working with infrastructure as code, and contributing to architectural decisions.
