QuantumGate is dedicated to developing and commercializing cutting-edge post-quantum cryptographic solutions. Our mission is to safeguard enterprise digital environments through innovative protocols and applications that address the evolving challenges of the post-quantum era.
We are seeking a cryptography and security specialist to assess the cryptographic posture of enterprise networks and guide clients through planning and executing their migration to Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).
In this role, you will interpret and validate findings produced by our Cryptographic Discovery Tool, translate technical evidence into risk and remediation priorities, and advise customers on practical best practices and migration strategies. Responsibilities include conducting cryptography-focused risk assessments, identifying high-impact exposures and dependencies, and recommending actionable steps to reduce risk and improve cryptographic hygiene while preparing for PQC transition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cryptographic Advisory & Strategy: Provide expert guidance on cryptographic techniques, protocols, and frameworks to ensure data security and compliance.
- Post-Quantum Cryptographic Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the current PQC landscape and threats to classical cryptography.
- Security Assessment & Audits: Analyze and assess existing cryptography usages, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend improvements.
- Algorithm & Protocol Evaluation: Evaluate the security level, classical and post-quantum, of encryption algorithms and secure communication protocols used in enterprises’ network.
- Key Management Solutions: Evaluate and audit clients’ key management strategies, including Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure cryptographic solutions align with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001 and FIPS 140-2/3.
- Research & Development: Stay updated on emerging threats, post-quantum cryptography advancements, and general security trends.
- Training & Documentation: Provide training to teams on cryptographic best practices and document security policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in cryptographic security, cybersecurity consulting, or a similar role.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and primitives (AES, RSA, ECC, SHA, etc.).
- Deep understanding of PQC algorithms and the challenges of PQC migration.
- Experience with secure communication protocols (TLS, IPsec, SSH).
- Familiarity with PKI, digital certificates, and authentication mechanisms.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with computer programming (C, C++, etc).
- Hands-on experience with cryptographic libraries (OpenSSL, Bouncy Castle, Libsodium).
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC GSEC, GIAC GPEN, or equivalent cryptography-related credentials.
Preferred Qualities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and consulting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
