Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and innovative WordPress Developer to design and develop high-quality websites and plugins. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the WordPress platform, including theme development, customization, and plugin integrations. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical expertise, and attention to detail to deliver user-friendly and responsive websites.

Key Responsibilities

Website Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Customize existing themes and plugins to meet client or project requirements.
• Ensure websites are responsive, user-friendly, and optimized for performance.

Content Management:

• Manage and update website content using WordPress CMS.
• Ensure content is SEO-friendly and adheres to best practices.

Integration and Troubleshooting:

• Integrate third-party APIs and tools into WordPress websites.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress functionality, performance, or security.

Optimization and Maintenance:

• Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO.
• Conduct regular website maintenance, updates, and backups.
• Implement security best practices to protect against vulnerabilities.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with designers, project managers, and clients to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to non-technical team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in WordPress development or similar roles.

Technical Skills:

• Core Expertise: Proficiency in WordPress CMS, including theme and plugin development.
• Programming: Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Frameworks: Familiarity with WordPress frameworks like Elementor, Divi, or WPBakery.
• Tools: Experience with version control systems like Git and website optimization tools.
• SEO: Basic understanding of SEO principles and their implementation in WordPress.
• Databases: Knowledge of MySQL database management.
• Others: Familiarity with REST APIs, WooCommerce, and other WordPress extensions.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with WordPress Multisite and custom post types.
• Familiarity with website hosting and server environments.
• Knowledge of website accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms and payment gateways.
