Summary:
Under the guidance of the IT Infrastructure Team, the Network Administrator will support the daily operations of our global network. This role is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with a specialization in networking, to gain experience in a SOC 2 compliant environment and participate in large-scale infrastructure projects.
Principal tasks:
- Assisted Administration: Support the implementation of VPN, LAN, and WIFI solutions under senior supervision
- Monitoring & Maintenance: Perform daily routine tasks, including processing network alerts and performing required software/firmware updates
- Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation and SOPs for network management (e.g., updating confluence records and network diagrams)
- Hardware Prep: Prepare and configure hardware (switches, routers, printers) for deployment at HQ and remote sites
- Level 1-2 Support: Act as the first point of contact for escalated network tickets, troubleshooting connectivity issues for remote users
- Education: Recently graduated from a recognized program in Networking, Cybersecurity, or IT specialization
- Experience: 0–2 years (internships or lab experience are highly valued)
- Bilingualism: Mandatory proficiency in both French and English to support our sites in Quebec, India and Germany
- Foundational Knowledge: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, and basic firewall concepts
- Tools: Familiarity with Windows Server (Active Directory) and a strong interest in learning Fortinet and Juniper equipment
