Company Description

The SME Development Fund, supported by the Partnership for Development (PFD), is a private sector initiative with a capital of RO 100 million. It aims to promote the growth of existing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and nurture new entrepreneurs in Oman. The fund is financed by contributions from local and international investors, including pension funds. PFD partners provide additional financial support through low-interest loans of up to EUR 50 million and grants, enhancing the fund’s capacity to support SMEs effectively.


Role Description:


1) Business Development & Client Support

  • Source leads and support outreach to Omani-owned small businesses and retail startups.
  • Support the achievement of assigned business targets, including:
  • Disbursement
  • Portfolio growth
  • Profitability
  • Maintain and update pipeline leads, and schedule client visits/meetings and follow-ups.
  • Support the Retail Manager in expanding client and partner engagement opportunities.


2) Credit Application Support & Proposal Coordination

  • Collect required client information and documentation for credit applications.
  • Assist in preparing complete application packs and supporting inputs for credit proposals (under guidance of the Retail Manager).
  • Ensure applications meet internal documentation and process requirements before submission.
  • Coordinate with relevant internal teams to support smooth and timely processing.


3) Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the day-to-day point of contact for client queries, follow-up, and coordination.
  • Support client site visits and prepare visit notes, action items, and follow-up trackers.
  • Escalate client concerns, risks, or delays promptly to the Retail Manager.
  • Maintain positive client relationships through professional and timely communication.


4) Product Promotion & Lead Conversion Support

  • Support awareness and outreach activities (events, visits, campaigns, referrals).
  • Explain INMA’s retail finance products to prospective customers, including:
  • Loan/product features
  • Profit/interest rates (as applicable)
  • Tenure options
  • Eligibility criteria
  • Coordinate with car dealers and partners to generate and follow up on vehicle loan leads.
  • Support customer onboarding by guiding applicants on required documentation and process steps.


5) Portfolio Health & Early-Stage Collections Support

  • Track repayment schedules for assigned clients and follow up early on overdue items.
  • Support early-stage collections and coordinate with receivables/recovery teams when required.
  • Maintain accurate status tracking and records to support portfolio quality and NPL control.
  • Report early warning signs or client repayment risks to the Retail Manager.


6) Stakeholder Liaison & Coordination

  • Coordinate internally with Risk, Credit Administration, Legal, and Finance teams for processing and documentation.
  • Support external coordination with partners, dealers, and ecosystem stakeholders (as applicable and guided by the Retail Manager).
  • Ensure timely communication and follow-up across stakeholders involved in the financing process.


7) Governance & Internal Compliance

  • Follow all internal processes, documentation standards, and approval protocols without exception.
  • Maintain confidentiality and proper record-keeping for all client files and business information.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records in internal trackers, reports, and databases.


Qualifications:


Option 1

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience: 0–3 years of relevant experience in SMEs, banking, finance, credit processing, sales, or customer relationship roles

Option 2

  • Education: Higher Diploma in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in SMEs, banking, finance, credit processing, sales, or customer relationship roles

Option 3

  • Education: High School
  • Experience: 6+ years of relevant experience in SMEs, banking, finance, credit processing, sales, or customer relationship roles
