About The Function

The Marketing function at MakeMyTrip is responsible for building a strong brand presence, driving customer acquisition, and maximizing engagement across all channels. By combining creativity with data-driven insights, the team designs and executes targeted campaigns that deliver measurable business impact. Within this, the Customer Lifecycle Marketing (CLM) team focuses on strategy and execution across the entire customer journey—covering onboarding, engagement, retention, and loyalty-building—to strengthen relationships and increase the lifetime value of our growing customer base.

About The Role

MakeMyTrip is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data expert for their CLM team. This role will be instrumental in driving business growth through data-driven insights, strategic decision-making, and effective cross-functional liaising. The person will be responsible for analysing data, providing actionable insights, shaping the company's strategy, and automating reporting architectures to have best-in-industry data reporting.

What Will You Be Doing

  • Customer Insights: Utilize data analysis to gain deep insights into customer behavior, preferences, and trends, helping the company understand its target audience better.
  • Business Understanding: Develop a strong understanding of MakeMyTrip's business goals, strategies, and market dynamics to align data-driven insights with organizational objectives.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize tools such as Excel, SQL, and Python to collect, clean, and analyze large datasets, identifying patterns and opportunities for growth.
  • Reporting and Data Visualization: Create clear and concise reports and automated dashboards to communicate insights effectively to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Platform Automation: Work cross-functionally to on-board new analytics platforms, adopt evolving & best-in-industry technologies to run consumer analytics, and help achieve critical business objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture, setting clear goals, and providing coaching and feedback.
  • Leadership: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine business strategies, leveraging data insights to drive decision-making.

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (B. Tech. or equivalent).
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in analytics, data science, or consumer insights roles
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python for data analysis.
  • Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, MixPanel, Google Analytics).
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of delivering business impact through data-driven insights.
