Rate: £500/day
IR35: Inside IR35

Location: Rickmansworth (2 days onsite per week)

About the Role
We’re looking for a Data Scientist to harness first‑ and third‑party data across CRM and digital marketing, delivering actionable insight, robust reporting, and evidence‑based recommendations that drive commercial performance.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys collaborating with marketing teams, shaping data‑driven strategy, and turning complex datasets into clear commercial value.
Key Deliverables
- Design and continually improve data‑driven audience strategies to maximise CRM and digital marketing performance.
- Deliver actionable insights and detailed performance reporting across campaigns and customer behaviour.
- Drive best practice for data quality, governance, and data‑driven decision‑making within marketing.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the marketing data science function, developing tools and insights for targeting, measurement, and optimisation.
- Validate CRM data outputs from the central Centre of Excellence.
- Provide 1PD audience data and insights to enhance digital media performance.
- Build predictive models and forecasting tools.
- Deliver customer behaviour reporting and marketing effectiveness insights.
- Lead targeted, data-driven projects such as segmentation and loyalty initiatives.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation
- Salesforce experience / certification
- Advanced analytical and reporting skills
- Customer segmentation and targeting techniques
- Forecasting and predictive modelling
- Excellent communication skills — able to convert complex data into actionable insights
Knowledge & Experience
- Strong understanding of how data drives marketing performance
- Curious, analytical approach to solving business problems
- Awareness of data governance processes
Ideal Prior Experience
- Previous experience in a Data Scientist or analytical role within marketing or CRM
- Experience with audience targeting and performance measurement in digital marketing
- Automotive experience is beneficial but not essential
