As we continue to grow our retail network, we are searching for an Area Manager to lead and coach our store managers to create a unique retail experience for our customers.
About The Opportunity:
The role is a newly created Area Manager which reports directly into our Head of Retail. The role has direct reports of our Store Managers, ensuring great day to day support of our store network to drive results of each store and ensure smooth day-to-day operations while keeping the spirit of Salomon alive!
What You'll Do:
- Lead and embed Salomon values and build a team of Store Managers that are engaged Brand and product ambassadors
- Build and drive a performing team who are customer obsessed, people focused and results driven in every one of my stores
- Develop and implement strategies to boost foot traffic, sales, and customer loyalty across the network delivering tailored support to unique store needs
- Recruit, train, and develop your team, fostering a positive and high-energy environment
- Manage and guide the operations of running new store openings including various projects to ensure a seamless launch.
- Drive performance across all people and customer initiatives to drive financial outcomes, with a focus on continuous improvement and ensuring consistency across store network
- Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety standards, while embodying the Salomon spirit in everything you do
- Build strong relationships with our merchandise, marketing, operations teams to ensure best practice in our operations, execution of new campaigns (whether that's marketing collateral or training of team) to ensure our customers receive high customer service and sales are maximised
- Proven multi-site retail leadership experience, ideally in senior store or area management roles
- Demonstrated success driving commercial performance, KPI delivery, and people leadership across multiple locations
- Experience developing Store Managers, managing operational and compliance standards, and delivering a premium customer experience
- A strong track record of hitting sales targets and driving store performance
- Stellar communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with customers and team members
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Passion for outdoor sports and a deep understanding of the Salomon brand and products
- Data-driven decision-making skills with the ability to turn insights into action
