DevOps / Cloud Platform Engineer – Contract

We are seeking an experienced DevOps / Cloud Platform Engineer to join a high-performing technology team on a six-month daily rate contract. This role will play a key part in supporting, optimising, and evolving a complex hybrid cloud environment across both cloud and on-premise platforms.

You will work closely with project delivery teams and operational stakeholders to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities will include:

• Platform Delivery & Operations including design and deploy infrastructure solutions across cloud and on-prem environments
• Automation & Continuous Improvement including the implementation and enhancement of quality controls across build and release processes
• Implement and enhance quality controls across build and release processes.
• Drive improvements in automation, tooling, and operational workflows.
• Contribute to ongoing uplift of platform engineering capability.

Key Technical Requirements (Essential)

• Demonstrated experience working within DevOps environments in enterprise organisations.
• Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform Azure, AWS or GCP
• Solid understanding of Source Control Management (Git-based workflows) CI/CD pipeline design and implementation and Infrastructure as Code principles
• Experience managing and operating hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Experience across any other areas such as platform engineering, observability or cloud security controls or software engineering would be desirable but not essential.

This is a hands-on contract role suited to someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys solving operational challenges, and is passionate about building scalable, secure platforms. You will be involved in project-based work across a broad technology stack including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) VMware Cloud Foundation, GitHub, Azure DevOps to name a few.
