Company Description

At Peach, you’ll join a progressive and growing commercial construction company based in South Melbourne, heading into its biggest year yet. We deliver projects across the Health, Education, Commercial and Community sectors, with a strong focus on creating spaces that genuinely improve the lives of the communities we work in.

You’ll be part of a genuinely diverse team (currently around 50% women) that actually lives its values — setting high expectations, staying proactive and a few steps ahead, getting things done, and taking real ownership of both our work and our mistakes — while delivering smarter, more sustainable projects that make a lasting impact.

Our Core Values

At Peach, we live by our core values every day.

Big Expectations: Next Level Growth

We’re in the business of exceeding expectations. It’s not just what we do — it’s who we are. Big growth requires big expectations, which means we hold ourselves to higher standards than the rest of the industry. We consistently deliver high quality because we care about outcomes for our clients.

Be Proactive: Stay Steps Ahead

We’re a “get it done” team. We don’t sit back or wait for others to act — we stay ahead of the game. We’re known for finding practical solutions to complex problems, both on and off site. We follow through on our commitments and deliver value to our clients.

Own Your Work: No Excuses

We take full ownership of our work. We step up, take initiative, and pay attention to the details, knowing they have a major impact on project outcomes. When mistakes happen, we own them, learn from them, and improve — no blame shifting, no excuses.

Play as a Team: No Talented Jerks

We’re team players. Successful projects rely on collaboration, and every role contributes to the outcome. We don’t tolerate big egos, disengaged performers, or “talented jerks.” Everyone is expected to add value and work as part of the team.

Stay Coachable: Keep Growing

We’re continuous learners. We actively seek feedback, remain open to challenge, and are always looking to improve — regardless of experience level.

Role Description

As a Project Manager at Peach, you will be accountable for the commercial, contractual and delivery outcomes of your projects from inception through to completion. You’ll ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the quality standards our clients expect.

You will lead and coordinate site and project teams, manage client and consultant relationships, oversee subcontractor performance, and drive proactive planning, risk management and problem solving to keep projects running smoothly.

Qualifications and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will ideally bring:

  • A degree or diploma in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years’ experience in commercial construction, ideally across fit-out, refurbishment and new build projects.
  • Proven experience delivering projects across the full lifecycle, from award through to handover and defects.
  • Strong capability in contract administration, financial control, forecasting and cost management.
  • Demonstrated leadership of site and commercial teams within a head contractor environment.
  • A track record of achieving time, cost and quality targets while maintaining strong client relationships and driving repeat business.
  • A proactive communication style, sound decision-making ability, and a strong sense of ownership aligned with Peach’s values.

Not sure if you’re a perfect fit?

As we like to say, “You can always tell which ones are a Peach — they’re worth a second look.”

Even if you don’t tick every box, if you believe you can do the role and align with our values, we’d still love to hear from you.

Equal Opportunity Statement

Peach is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and members of the LGBTIQ+ community. We believe everyone deserves to see themselves represented in the construction industry.
