Job Title: Senior Network Engineer ()
Location: Sydney, Australia
Duration : 6 months (extendable)
Responsibilities:
- Design, configure and test enterprise network solutions, with strong expertise in Cisco routing & switching (Catalyst, Nexus, ISR/ASR series) or Juniper (EX, QFX, MX series)
- Design and hands on configuration experience with Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela).
- Document low-level designs, configuration steps, and operational procedures.
- Design and hands on experience deploying LAN/WAN/DC environments
- Design and hands on experience deploying Cisco or Juniper Wireless networks
- Design, configure, and deploy enterprise firewalls and security controls, including VPNs and segmentation, with experience in Cisco FTD or Palo Alto
- Troubleshoot and optimize large-scale enterprise networks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and partners to ensure successful network deployment and operational excellence.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- 8+ years in enterprise networking design, implementation, and operational roles.
- Experience working in very large network environments.
- Strong client-facing, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale network solutions in a structured, consultative, and hands-on manner.
- Expert-level skills in:
- Cisco routing & switching including Catalyst, Nexus, ISR/ASR series platforms or Juniper EX, QFX and MX series
- Cisco SD-WAN (Viptella)
- Routing protocols including OSPF and BGP
- Either Cisco FTD or Palo Alto firewalls
- Mandatory for CCNP, CCIE or equivalent certification (JNCIP-ENT or JNCIE-ENT if Juniper based)
- Candidates will be required to undergo background checks prior to commencing the contract.
- Flexible working arrangements: combination of remote work and on-site presence as required.

Preferred/Bonus Skills
- Familiarity with automation, scripting, or infrastructure-as-code (Python, Bash, Ansible, etc.) is a plus
