About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Web Developer with deep experience in WordPress and modern front-end technologies to build, maintain, and optimize high-quality websites across multiple projects. This role requires both strong technical execution and a sharp eye for design and user experience.
You will work on multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines, collaborating with designers, marketers, and stakeholders to deliver fast, responsive, and visually polished web experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain websites (custom themes, page templates, and plugins) in various (Wix, WebFlow, WordPress, Shopify)
- Translate design mockups (Figma, Adobe XD, or similar) into clean, responsive, pixel-perfect HTML/CSS
- Write efficient, well-structured JavaScript for interactive UI features
- Customize and extend WordPress themes and plugins
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness
- Optimize websites for performance, SEO, and accessibility
- Debug and resolve front-end and WordPress-related issues
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Collaborate with designers and content teams to implement layouts and features accurately
- Maintain code quality and organization using version control (Github)
- 2+ years of professional web development experience
- Strong expertise in WordPress development (themes, plugins, and CMS architecture)
- Expert-level knowledge of:
- HTML5
- CSS3 / modern styling techniques (Flexbox, Grid, responsive design)
- JavaScript (ES6+)
- Solid design sensibility and understanding of layout, typography, and UI best practices
- Experience converting design files into functional web pages
- Familiarity with PHP as it relates to WordPress development
- Experience with browser debugging and performance optimization
- Comfortable working under tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience with page builders (Gutenberg, Elementor, or similar)
- Experience with CSS preprocessors (SASS/SCSS)
- Experience with modern JS frameworks (React, Vue, or similar)
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)
- SEO best practices and site speed optimization
- Experience working with REST APIs
- Experience with hosting environments and deployment workflows
- Someone who takes pride in clean, maintainable code
- A developer who understands both the technical and visual sides of web development
- A self-starter who can manage their own work and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical teammates
- A portfolio that demonstrates real, production-quality websites
- Agency or multi-project environment experience
- Experience maintaining high-traffic or e-commerce WordPress sites
- Familiarity with WooCommerce
