We are looking for an experienced IT Risk Management professional to support a regulatory-driven banking project in Vienna. This role combines project management and analytical expertise within a highly regulated financial services environment. The focus is on IT governance, risk analysis, regulatory compliance (DORA/EBA), and stakeholder coordination across business and IT functions.

Location: Vienna, Austria (Hybrid – approx. 50% remote)

On-site Requirement: Weekly presence in Vienna

Key Responsibilities

Plan, manage, and control IT Risk Management projects within a banking environment

Conduct comprehensive IT risk analyses and assessments

Perform gap analyses against regulatory requirements (e.g., DORA, EBA guidelines)

Prepare management reports, dashboards, audit documentation, and risk overviews

Coordinate closely with IT, compliance, and business departments on regulatory and governance topics

Analyze governance frameworks and IT-related transformation and control processes

Ensure alignment with banking compliance standards and regulatory expectations

Manage stakeholders across multiple departments and seniority levels

Requirements

5–10 years of project experience in the banking sector with a strong IT focus

Solid hands-on experience in IT Risk Management

Proven background in project management or risk analysis roles

Experience working in regulated environments (financial services / banking)

Strong knowledge of IT risks, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements (DORA, EBA)

Experience in Banking Compliance and IT Governance (5–10 years)

Strong stakeholder management skills

Structured, analytical, and documentation-driven working style

Excellent communication skills in German and English

Nice to Have

Experience supporting internal or external audits

Familiarity with regulatory reporting tools and dashboards

Experience in IT transformation or control framework implementation
