We are looking for a Business Analyst to join a major European digital health initiative based in Brussels.

You will contribute to the evolution of a large-scale European IT platform dedicated to medical devices, designed to enhance transparency, regulatory coordination, and access to information across EU Member States.

This is a unique opportunity to work on a high-impact public health system operating at European level.


About the Project

The platform is a centralized European database providing a comprehensive view of the lifecycle of medical devices placed on the EU market.

It integrates multiple electronic systems to collect and process information related to medical devices and economic operators (e.g., manufacturers), strengthening transparency, cross-border collaboration, and access to reliable information for healthcare professionals and the public.

Your Mission

As a Business Analyst, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring business needs are translated into clear functional specifications and system improvements.

You will analyze processes, identify optimization opportunities, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of the IT solution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business processes and identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and automation opportunities
  • Gather and document requirements (scope, use cases, business rules, terminology)
  • Perform impact analysis for new requirements or change requests
  • Develop workflow diagrams and process models (BPMN)
  • Write and maintain comprehensive functional and system documentation
  • Liaise between different departments and stakeholder groups
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and IT teams
  • Define KPIs and monitoring methods to assess optimized processes

Profile & Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analysis, Operational Research, Mathematical Modelling, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field
  • OR minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Experience with data analysis and modelling
  • BPMN knowledge
  • Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management ability
  • Structured, detail-oriented mindset

Nice to Have

  • Basic knowledge of Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence
  • Experience in change management
  • Certifications (Business Analyst, Agile, Scrum, Lean/Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Python (maintenance & updates of existing applications)
