Function Data Analyst

Location Brussels-Hybrid 50%

Mission start date 01/04/2026 ( to 31/03/2027)

Mission duration 12 months, with the option to stop the contract each 3 months, with 1 months' notice

Mission description

We are looking for a data analyst profile to help and coach the team to make the switch from SAS to Databricks.

Your main mission will be to help convert legacy SAS applications to R/Python/SQL scripts running Databricks and test the output of the legacy system with Databricks output.

You will play an important role in onboarding the NBB’s Statistics team to help establish standards and processes for new business projects.

You will also be involved during the implementation of new business projects and help onboard business users and translate data scientist’s needs into a technical implementation.

Working hours

Normal working hours (from 07h45 to 17h45): 5 days from Monday until Friday (7h36 per day)

Deliverables

• Convert existing SAS to R/Python/SQL scripts
• Performance tuning
• Testing of output using NBB’s testing tools (Xray)
• Prove technical documentation and manuals

Languages

• Good knowledge of English and Dutch or French.
• Capable of writing documentation in English.

Technical Knowledge - Experience

You are a data analyst with a strong focus Databricks.

You have experience with R, Python (PySpark) and SQL

You have experience in using different data engineering technologies Databricks

You have strong technical skills in the following domains:

• Databricks: Databricks Notebooks
• Programmings Skills: R, PySpark, SQL, SAS
• BI tools: Power BI
