An international digital infrastructure developer is seeking an experienced Planning Lead to support the delivery of large-scale hyperscale data centre projects in Finland.
This role will take ownership of programme strategy, schedule governance, and performance control across complex, multi-disciplinary developments. The Planning Lead will work closely with the Project Director, commercial teams, consultants, and EPC contractors to ensure robust planning processes are implemented and maintained throughout the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Programme & Schedule Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain integrated master programmes (Level 3 & 4) covering CSA and MEP scopes.
- Establish baseline schedules and ensure alignment with procurement, design, and construction strategies.
- Identify and manage critical path activities and programme risks.
- Lead short-term and long-term planning processes, including look-ahead schedules.
Controls & Reporting
- Monitor progress against baseline, producing weekly and monthly performance reports.
- Conduct schedule risk analysis and mitigation planning.
- Support earned value management (EVM) and forecasting processes.
- Provide delay analysis and support change management and claims preparation where required.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Interface with EPC contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to validate programme assumptions and logic.
- Chair planning workshops and programme review meetings.
- Provide executive-level updates to senior leadership.
- Ensure alignment between site delivery teams and corporate reporting standards.
Governance & Systems
- Drive planning best practices and standardisation across the project.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements and reporting obligations.
- Utilise Primavera P6 (essential) and other reporting tools to maintain data integrity and transparency.
Candidate Profile
- Degree-qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- 10+ years’ experience in planning large-scale infrastructure, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
- Proven experience on hyperscale data centres or complex MEP-intensive builds.
- Advanced user of Primavera P6 (essential).
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, commissioning logic, and contractor methodologies.
- Experience in the Nordics or familiarity with Finnish construction environment preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English required.
