Opportunity
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the company's network infrastructure, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and implementing network solutions. You will play a hands-on role in ensuring the performance, security, and availability of the network. This role provides a great opportunity to develop technical skills and contribute to critical network projects in a collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Network Management: Ensure high-availability core and access networks for both remote and local users.
- Equipment Setup, Maintenance & Monitoring : Configure, manage and monitor routers, Ethernet switches (HPE, Aruba), Aruba Central, WAPs (Aruba), Firewalls (Palo Alto/Prisma) & cloud based (Prisma) VPN (PA-Global Protect), Azure based Site to Site VPN Tunnels, Azure networking (NSGs, routing).
- Network Access Management: Configure & manage IEEE 802.1X wired/wireless NAC for endpoint devices, monitor & manage GP VPN access controls.
- Cybersecurity: Secure corporate network against internal and external threats.
- Upgrades & Expansion: Plan software upgrades, evolve the network to support new or additional services, collaborate with the infrastructure team regarding new installations.
- Liaise & collaborate with ISPs, OEM support services and support contractors to resolve issues or when upgrading critical network infrastructure.
- Recording & Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation and records. Submit weekly and monthly network & project updates to senior management or as required.
- 7 years networking engineer & network management experience.
- BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with scripting languages - Python or shell (bash).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with SASE tools (e.g., Prisma Access, Aruba Central, SolarWinds).
- Strong analytical approach to problem solving and ability to diagnose complex issues quickly, while reliably handling multiple priorities.
- Thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, and Network Security architecture and core technologies such as IP, TCP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, load balancers, firewalls, ACLs, DNS, DHCP, IP address management.

Network Operations and Maintenance
- Support and maintain the company network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems and PA GP VPN
- Monitor network performance, (HPE Aruba Central, HPE Aruba UXI Sensors, PRTG) identify and resolve network issues, and ensure reliable connectivity across the organization
- Execute scheduled maintenance tasks and firmware updates to maintain network performance and security
- Investigate and troubleshoot network incidents, be the main point of contact
- Work with cross-functional teams to support network needs for applications, services, and user support
- Respond to network support tickets including out of hours for critical network issues
- Meet & collaborate with Internal teams regarding improvements, change management or other network issues
- Provide weekly/monthly network/projects status reports to senior management
- Plan the deployment of network projects, including LAN/WAN setup, VPN configuration, and cloud connectivity
- Implement network upgrades and enhancements to support scalability and performance improvements
- Document network configurations, changes, and best practices to maintain accurate records and knowledge sharing
- Support network security initiatives by assisting with firewall configuration, access controls, and monitoring
- Conduct routine security checks and assist in compliance audits and vulnerability assessments
- Ensure adherence to security policies and assist in identifying potential areas for improvement
- Stay updated on emerging network technologies and industry best practices
- Participate in training and certification programs to advance technical knowledge and skills
