Who We Are

Euromonitor International is a global leader in data, analytics, and market intelligence. Organisations around the world rely on us to understand industries, consumers, and economies — and to make confident, strategic decisions based on high‑quality insight.

We're now building a new AI & R&D function to shape the next generation of intelligence products and internal tooling.

This is your chance to join at the earliest stage and influence the entire direction of our AI strategy.

Why This Role Is Exciting

You'll join as the first Lead AI Engineer in our Vilnius hub, helping define how we build, deploy, and scale AI across the organisation.

This role is perfect for someone who wants:

  • Big ownership over architecture, experimentation, and direction
  • To work on LLMs, agentic systems, RAG workflows, and model fine‑tuning
  • To move fast, test ideas, and turn prototypes into real, scalable products
  • A mix of hands‑on technical work + high-level influence
  • A role that actually offers creativity, problem‑solving and innovation

You'll sit at the intersection of AI research, engineering, and product, working with data scientists, software engineers, and business leaders across the world.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead the design and execution of AI experiments, prototypes, and R&D initiatives
  • Build and evaluate LLM‑based systems: RAG pipelines, fine‑tuned models, agentic workflows
  • Write clean, high‑quality Python code and reusable components
  • Develop frameworks for model evaluation, experimentation, and automation
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to bring prototypes closer to production
  • Explore vector databases, embeddings, prompt strategies, and retrieval optimisation
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in generative AI, LLMs, multi‑agent systems, and applied ML
  • Mentor junior engineers and help develop our AI engineering culture
  • Communicate insights, technical decisions, and recommendations to diverse audiences

Requirements

What we're looking for:

  • Strong experience building real AI/ML models in Python
  • Deep understanding of LLMs, RAG architectures, fine‑tuning, and NLP
  • Hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, and modern ML tooling
  • Experience designing prototypes, POCs, or internal AI tools
  • Comfortable working with vector stores, embeddings, and prompt engineering
  • Strong experimentation mindset: iterate fast, learn fast
  • Excellent communication and collaborative working style
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and MLOps concepts

Nice to have

  • Experience leading or mentoring small teams

What you'll get form us:

  • Be a pioneer: Join a brand-new AI team and become one of the first engineers shaping its future
  • Flexibility: Enjoy flexible working hours and a hybrid setup
  • Global exposure: Work with stakeholders across multiple offices worldwide
  • Cutting-edge tech: Experiment with emerging AI technologies, including LLMs and innovative approaches
  • Collaboration: Partner with diverse teams and contribute to exciting, high-impact projects

The salary range for this position is between €5,000 and €6,500 / month gross.
