Job Description
Job purpose:
As a key member of the Information Technology Department, you will provide advanced application system and data analysis support to drive business performance and IT efficiency. A primary focus of the role is to support and maintain the bank’s custody systems, ensuring stability, accuracy, and continuous improvement through close coordination with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Responsibilities would be, but not be limited to, the following:
Key Responsibilities
- Manage custody system operations, including:
- Daily monitoring, proactive issue identification, and resolution
- Configuration management, patching, and system upgrades
- Collaboration with business users for process improvement and system enhancements
- Liaise with external vendors to coordinate technical support, troubleshoot issues, and manage change requests
- Collaborate closely with custody business users to gather and translate business requirements into data-driven solutions, including data modeling, mining, analysis, and reporting to support business and product optimization
- Develop and maintain application system architecture and codebase
- Provide system maintenance and technical troubleshooting to ensure high availability
- Deliver Level 2 and Level 3 technical support, resolving complex system issues and escalations
- Support data governance and assist with IT-related projects across the department
- Advocate and implement automation opportunities to improve system efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance data processing workflows
- Bachelor's degree or higher in IT or related field
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, SQL)
- At least 3 years of experience in software development or system architecture, experience in Banking or IT company is an asset
- Fluent in English, knowledge of Chinese or French is an additional advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Excellent communication and customer service orientation
- Ability to manage priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
