The Role
Reporting to a Lead Product Designer, the Associate Product Designer will be responsible for supporting the full design process within the Flutter Gaming products, translating product requirements into intuitive UX/UI designs that power gaming experiences across our brands.
You will be obsessed with how Flutter's various teams use our products and design solutions to power their gaming propositions, using data and insights to ensure the user experience delivered aligns with both the needs of our customers and the business.
As part of the Design and UX Research (DUX) team, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary group of experts, including Product Designers, Design System specialists, Visual Designers, Game Designers, UX Researchers, Brand specialists, Content Designers, and Service Designers.
The team will also support and mentor you in the prioritisation of work, requirement definition and stakeholder engagement, whilst working closely to align Design principles and requirements for the Design Experience that will be used by the customers.
Additionally, you will engage with a broader community of Designers across the Flutter group to share and leverage best practice to improve our ways of working, share knowledge and insights in how to build great products.
With guidance from senior designers, you’ll quickly get up to speed on our Design System, Gaming domain expertise, and Flutter's Design practices.

What You'll Be Doing
- Focus on the end-user – first & last – using research and experimentation to define a user-centered approach to our designs.
- Collaborate with key teams within the wider business, including Product Owners, Product Managers, Developers, Quality Assurance Analysts, and other relevant stakeholders across Flutter UK&I division
- Create low, medium and high-fidelity wireframes and functional prototypes with support and guidance from senior Designers.
- Create UI assets to be consumed by the Design System and Development teams under review and feedback from your Lead Designer.
- Contribute to Design System by supporting the unification of a set of design guidelines, components, assets, and rules used across multiple brands.
- Learn and apply design methodologies to support cross-functional collaboration.
- Assist in defining incremental Product Design development paths for new and existing functionality across products.
- Communicate design solutions to stakeholders with guidance from senior Designers.
- We value strong Design Thinking and problem-solving over Visual Design expertise. You'll grow your Visual Design skills through collaboration with our specialists.
- Leverage AI-assisted design tools to enhance productivity and explore design variations efficiently.
- 1-3 years of UI/UX or Product Design experience — designing software products/web apps, with demonstrated ability to learn and apply knowledge to complex domains.
- Ability to design clear and well-structured mockups of your solutions using modern design tools such as Figma and AI-powered design assistants.
- Familiarity with design documentation, accessibility standards (WCAG), and collaborative tools (Jira, Miro) is beneficial.
- A portfolio or case study demonstrating thoughtful problem-solving skills. Walk us through your design process, including your research approach, key insights, iterations, and rationale for design decisions.
- Eager self-starter who can collaborate with other disciplines, including Product Management, Product Owners, Developers, UX Research, and Brand.
- A driven person with an action-oriented approach. Show initiative with energy and drive.
- Good relationship management skills. Ability to relate to both business and technical specialists.
- Resilient and maintains a positive attitude when facing challenges.
- A customer focus champion that contributes to solutions that meet our gaming users needs.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of the sports & gaming betting industry would be an advantage.
