MetaSmile – Data Infrastructure for AI in Healthcare

MetaSmile is building the data backbone that powers clinical AI, operational intelligence, and predictive systems inside dental clinics.

We are hiring a Data Engineer to design and implement robust data pipelines that support AI adoption and scalable SaaS operations.

This is a strategic, full-time position (24-month project minimum) focused on building reliable data infrastructure that drives measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines

• Design scalable data models to support analytics and machine learning

• Develop ETL workflows and integrations with clinical and external systems

• Implement event-driven architectures and streaming workflows

• Ensure data quality, traceability, and documentation

• Support AI team with structured training and validation datasets

Core Skills

• Strong experience in data engineering

• SQL and database expertise (PostgreSQL, Supabase or similar)

• ETL, data modeling, and pipeline development

• Event-driven systems and message queues

• Containers, version control, and workflow orchestration

• Experience working with structured and semi-structured data

Nice to Have

• Experience in SaaS environments

• Knowledge of data governance and GDPR

• Experience supporting ML teams
