Our client is an internationally active organisation operating complex digital platforms and mission-critical technology environments. To strengthen its cloud capabilities, our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join a collaborative and technically advanced infrastructure team.

This role focuses on the design, operation and continuous improvement of enterprise-grade cloud platforms supporting business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cloud environments primarily in Microsoft Azure, with additional AWS components.
• Ensure cloud platforms comply with internal security, governance and architectural standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to design and implement scalable cloud solutions.
• Provide advanced (2nd and 3rd level) operational support for infrastructure-related incidents and service requests.
• Implement, configure and optimise services across compute, storage, networking, backup and monitoring layers.
• Design and maintain secure, highly available and resilient cloud architectures.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code initiatives and automation strategies.
• Contribute to technical transformation and modernisation projects.
• Develop and document operational standards, deployment processes and best practices.
• Support workload migrations from on-premises environments to cloud platforms.

Required Profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, including solid experience in a senior cloud-focused role.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure (primary focus) and solid knowledge of AWS.
• Proven experience managing enterprise-scale cloud environments.
• Experience with hybrid infrastructure and cloud migration initiatives.
• Strong practical knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform required).
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps toolchains (e.g. Azure DevOps or similar platforms).
• Solid scripting skills (PowerShell required).
• Familiarity with database technologies and cloud-native services.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Adaptability and interest in evolving cloud technologies.
• Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.
