We are looking for a skilled Backend Software Engineer to join our development team.
- Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs written using Golang in a production environment
- Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including schema design and query optimization
- Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, QA, and product stakeholders
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
- Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues
- Monitor, trace, and debug production microservices to ensure a stable, zero-downtime platform
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing within the team
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other equivalent degree/experience
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong experience with at least one backend language (e.g. Java, Kotlin, Go, Python, or Node.js)
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs (or GraphQL)
- Experience with SQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Experience with automated testing (unit and integration tests)
- Lifelong learner - you are continuously researching tools, technologies, frameworks and best practices
- Mindful of quality attributes like maintainability, performance, security, scalability, usability and testability
- You carefully read the specifications and assignments and you like to take responsibility for your components from start to end
- English fluency
- Exposure to message queues or event-driven systems (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Experience with column oriented DBMSs or data warehouses (ex. Clickhouse, BigTable, Amazon Redshift)
- Familiarity with distributed systems fundamentals (scalability, reliability, performance)
- Experience with command line and Unix systems
- Experience working with container technologies such as Docker
- Comfortable working with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines
