Golang Engineer - Energy Tech Startup
I’m working with a growing startup in the energy technology sector that’s building software used in real-world energy infrastructure. The company is early-stage but well funded, with an experienced leadership team and a clear technical roadmap.
The Role:
This is a hands-on engineering role with a lot of responsibility. You’ll be working on core backend services written in Go, helping to shape how the platform is built as the company scales. The team is small, so engineers are involved in design decisions, trade-offs, and delivery - not just implementation.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Developing backend services and APIs in Go
- Working on distributed systems and internal platforms
- Improving performance, reliability, and scalability
- Collaborating closely with product and infrastructure teams
- Contributing to code reviews and technical discussions
What They’re Looking For:
- Solid experience using Go in production
- Good backend fundamentals and system design skills
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Comfortable with Docker and modern CI/CD workflows
- Someone who enjoys working in a startup environment and taking ownership
Nice to Have:
- Experience with data-heavy or high-throughput systems
- Any exposure to energy, climate, or industrial software
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or event-driven systems
What’s on Offer:
- Competitive salary with equity
- Flexible remote or hybrid working
- High level of ownership and influence
- Work on software that supports the energy transition
