Job Title: Java Developer

Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid (2–4 days in office)
Experience Required: 6–8 Years

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer with strong expertise in Java/J2EE and microservices development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building and integrating web services, working with Spring Boot, and participating in CI/CD pipelines within a structured Agile environment.

Primary Skills

  • Advanced Java/J2EE concepts and object-oriented programming

  • Spring Boot and microservices architecture

  • Integration web services: SOAP and RESTful APIs

  • CI/CD deployment experience using Jenkins

  • Version control and collaboration tools: Git, JIRA, Confluence

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java/J2EE and Spring Boot.

  • Build and consume SOAP and RESTful web services for application integrations.

  • Participate in CI/CD deployments and automate build/test/release processes.

  • Collaborate within Agile Scrum teams and follow structured development practices.

  • Maintain high-quality code, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional Java development experience.

  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture.

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins preferred).

  • Familiarity with Git, JIRA, and Confluence.

  • Experience working in a scaled Agile environment.
