Barstool Sports is seeking a Digital Product Design (UX) Intern to join our team for the summer. This role provides hands-on learning experience supporting the design of user-centered digital experiences across Barstool’s web and mobile platforms. You’ll work closely with product managers, developers, and content teams while gaining real-world exposure to the product development process.

This internship runs from May 26 to August 30 and is based 100% in our New York office.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the design team in building user experiences for web and mobile app products including internal CMS tools and consumer-facing platforms such as:
    • store.barstoolsports.com (Our Shopify powered merch store)
    • stellabuecoffee.com
    • barstoolsports.com
    • The Barstool Sports App
    • One Bite Pizza Reviews and other Barstool brand digital experiences
  • Assist with wireframes, user flows, and prototypes using tools such as Figma.
  • Help conduct user research, competitive analysis, and usability reviews.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
  • Work alongside senior designers to maintain and organize design system components and UI assets.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve user journeys and overall usability.
  • Observe and assist with A/B testing efforts and basic performance tracking.
  • Stay current on digital product trends, UX best practices, and emerging design tools.

What You Have

  • Rising Junior / Rising Senior pursuing a degree in Design, UX/UI, Human-Computer Interaction Design, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Coursework, academic projects, or personal work related to UX/UI or digital product design.
  • A portfolio showcasing strong visual design skills and UI/UX work (wireframes or prototypes) that demonstrates your decision-making process, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving approach (class projects welcome).
  • Familiarity with Figma or similar design tools.
  • Basic understanding of usability principles and user-centered design.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently on tasks and take ownership of work.
  • Curiosity to understand the why and how behind the work.
  • Interest in sports, media, entertainment, or digital culture is a plus.

Pay Rate: $17.00/hr
