Key Responsibilities
- Lead UX design for EBM Studio, focusing on model visualizations and editor UI.
- Translate product requirements into user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma, with detailed specs for engineers.
- Define and maintain reusable UI patterns and components, ensuring alignment with the design system and Material components.
- Integrate accessibility best practices (keyboard navigation, focus states, color contrast, semantic structure) into all design deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with engineering to assess feasibility and guide implementation; provide UX QA during development to ensure quality.
- Support post-deployment troubleshooting and quality assurance.
- Conduct lightweight research, including usability reviews and rapid iteration based on user feedback.
- Work within an agile, continuous delivery environment.
- Advanced Figma skills: component-driven design, prototyping, responsive layouts, and developer-ready specs.
- Strong understanding of Material components and component-based UI design for complex applications.
- Experience designing with accessibility in mind.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills with engineers and product teams.
- Experience designing data-dense interfaces (tables, filtering, progressive disclosure).
- Familiarity with representing complex data relationships (entity relationships, dependency graphs, lineage maps) in UI.
- Background in enterprise application design, including info density, role-based workflows, and compliance/auditability.
- Familiarity with data graphing/topology visualization and related interaction patterns.
- Understanding of React-related design considerations.
- 12 months contract, onsite in McLean, VA (must be within 40 miles).
- Face-to-face interview required.
