About the Role

We are seeking an 10+ yrs accomplished Business Analyst cum Quality Controller with deep expertise in the insurance domain to lead enterprise-wide core insurance transformation initiatives. This dual-role position combines business analysis leadership with hands-on quality assurance ownership, ensuring that business objectives, regulatory standards, and technical solutions align seamlessly to deliver stable, compliant, and high-performing systems.


Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis

  • Lead end-to-end requirement gathering and stakeholder workshops.
  • Own and maintain complete business documentation including:
  • Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)
  • Functional Specification Documents (FSDs)
  • Process Maps and User Journeys
  • Functional and Configuration Specifications
  • Translate insurance business workflows into detailed system configurations.
  • Ensure all designs comply with regulatory, accounting, and governance standards.
  • Support change management, end-user training, and rollout readiness.

Quality Assurance

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies and test plans.
  • Perform and oversee testing phases: Functional, Integration, Regression, System, and UAT.
  • Coordinate and manage testing activities across multiple teams.
  • Own and manage the defect lifecycle using JIRA or equivalent tools.
  • Ensure production readiness by validating quality and compliance metrics before go-live.
  • Maintain full traceability between requirements and testing deliverables.

Domain Expertise

  • Strong working knowledge in:
  • Motor Insurance
  • General Insurance (Property & Casualty)
  • Life & Health Insurance
  • Solid understanding of Insurance Accounting, Reinsurance, Commission, and Claims

processes.


Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Insurance Business Analysis and QA.
  • Proven track record in Core Insurance System implementation or modernization projects.
  • Strong grasp of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA, TestRail, Selenium, or similar enterprise tools.
  • Excellent documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Delivery-focused, detail-oriented, structured, and accountable.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
